Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Power BI Report Writer to support our data analytics and business intelligence initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI. This role requires strong data modeling skills, DAX expertise, and the ability to translate business requirements into impactful visualizations.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and define KPIs
Transform raw data from multiple sources into actionable insights
Write complex DAX queries and optimize performance of Power BI reports
Ensure data accuracy and integrity through thorough testing and validation
Create and maintain data models, relationships, and calculated columns/measures
Schedule and manage report refreshes and data gateways
Provide documentation and end-user training as needed
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience (4+ years preferred) developing Power BI solutions in a professional setting
Strong proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and DAX
Experience with data modeling and transformation using Power Query/M
Familiarity with SQL and relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Azure SQL, etc.)
Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes
Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Power BI administration and workspace management
Knowledge of Azure data services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics)
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
